All About Goldens
Golden Retrievers are some of the most well-rounded dogs. They are one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States, and once you learn more about them, you'll understand why!

They are originally a Scottish gundog who was bred to retrieve waterfowl. They have a hard work ethic, but their happy and loving disposition also makes them perfect for other areas of life, such as family dogs, guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, and competitive/show dogs. They are very intelligent animals whose main objective in life, it seems, is to bring joy to anyone around it. Since they were bred to help hunters by retrieving water fowl, you shouldn't be surprised when a Goldens favorite things to do include diving into water and fetching. No matter the life you live, it's almost certain that a Golden Retriever can match it (American Kennel Club, 2022).
Goldens are naturally eager to please the people in their lives, so they are relatively easy to train. They are considered to be a breed that is great with small children, affectionate with families, and good with other dogs. They are very playful, but this also makes them very open to strangers and to have a less protective nature; however, this makes them highly adaptable and down to try just about anything! (American Kennel Club, 2022)
